Clean off of last week’s declared recall of your tiny above one,300 2006 Honda CR-V versions with improperly welded sub frames, there is yet another Honda remember again involving the CR-Vs as well as the Honda Pilot. In accordance into the Countrywide Freeway Targeted traffic Protection Administration (NHTSA), 2002 by way of 2004 design 12 months CR-Vs and 2003 type 12 months Pilots have a concern using the wiring harness for the headlights. Above time, pressure from your harness could cause the electrical final to use down and rust ensuing inside develops of copper oxide about the surface area from the terminals.
When oxidization begins, electrical resistance increases plus the Honda CR-V headlight harness connection can overheat, bringing about the terminals to soften inside the wiring harness. When that occurs, the lower beam headlights can fall short. Evening driving is plenty dangerous as-is, and if your headlights go out, it turns into considerably additional dangerous.

The NHTSA in the beginning opened a defect investigation right after obtaining 12 studies from people alleging that both very low beam headlights stopped working simultaneously. Honda will commence notifying proprietors and currently being remembered in late April. Proprietors with considerations or thoughts can make contact with Honda toll free at 1-800-999-1009 referencing Honda recall marketing campaign amount S34 or the NHTSA’s Vehicle Basic safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 referencing campaign ID amount 12V136000.

At this stage of reading this valuable information, its assumed that you already have a fair understanding of what radio controlled vehicle racing is in general and rc cars racing in particular. If you don’t, a good place to start would be to go to our website RCCarsSecrets.com and read the basics about understanding your RC Car. If you already made that journey, then you would be at a stage when you would have to choose the kind of car you want to experience your speed thrills in. Rtc rc cars are a great bet and so are rtc rc trucks. The fundamental choice however is should you go in for an electric rc car or do you want to go for a nitro rc car.

Both types of cars have their own advantages and disadvantages as do rtc rc cars or even rtc rc trucks for that matter. To make that decision you need to do some proper soul searching and identify that one goal that you want to achieve in the world of rc cars racing. The reason for that is quite simple, the skills that you learn coupled with the investments that the sport calls for makes it unviable to broad base one’s learning. To put it simply, its better to not become a jack of all trades and a master of none. These are what we believe are the fundamental rules of life applying not just to rtc cars and rc trucks, but to every walk of life!

If you are just starting out and looking forward to honing you skills on the control, then its automatic choice to go in for an electric rc car. They are easier to source, easier to maintain and above all require just a basic ability to handle the controls. This means that steering the car and maneuvering it through a winding track is that much easier and is a good learning ground to understand the nuances of “distanced control” because you are not physically present in the car steering it. On a softer note, literally, electric rc cars are quieter than any other type of rc cars.

On the other hand, if you already have acquired a fine ability to control your rc cars and want to take your skills to the next level, and also if you are looking for a speed rush, then the nitro rc car is just the right one for you. What makes the nitro car different from the others is it’s ability to provide extreme levels of acceleration in very short bursts of time. The speed freaks you see all across the town are not only good at what they do, but what makes them that good is the super powerful nitro rc cars they are using.

If you can make your mind now about which rc car to go in for, then the objective of this article has been served!

Did we just hear the revving of your RC mechanical marvel?

Tired of paying more and more for gas? Fuel prices this year have been at the highest levels in 25 years, and with world demand for oil higher than ever, they most likely won’t decrease any time soon.

According to Zap, a publicly owned company based in California that manufactures an array of electric vehicles, one of the best ways to beat rising gas prices is to buy and drive an electric car.

Gas cars use about 10 cents’ worth of fuel for every mile, whereas electric cars use only 3 cents’ worth. That means an electric car can travel three times as far as a gasoline car for the same money. Other Zap vehicles, like its electric bicycles, use about a penny’s worth of gas for every five miles and achieve an average fuel efficiency of more than 1,000 miles per gallon.

Driving an electric car is not only good for your pocketbook, it is good for the environment. Electric cars emit 98 percent less pollution than gas cars, even after accounting for power-plant emissions. This can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which scientists say contribute to global warming and climate change.

Electric vehicles start as low as $300 for an electric bike or scooter and $5,000 for an electric car.

Zap also is beginning to market “smart” cars, which are some of the smallest and most fuel-efficient gas cars available. While small cars seem to have become an endangered species in the U.S., Zap is aiming to bring them back into vogue, which can help reduce gas prices and air pollution.

Whether you get an electric vehicle or keep your gas car, one of the easiest things you can do is slow down. The faster you drive, the more fuel your car consumes per mile. If you drive at 70 mph instead of 55 mph, you’ll reduce your car’s fuel economy by 17 percent.

What is a sports car? There have already been quite a few personal definitions to what a sports car sounds to them. However, for most people, a sports car is a BMW.

BMW now adds up yet another product to their still growing family of vehicles. And right now, the new addition is the 2006 BMW M. It is a roadster. And it just goes to show that BMW meant business for this car. Its past shows a colorful BMW tradition as well as an in-depth research before it was actually constructed. Just go through its stretched engine compartment, its long wheelbase, its short tail, and its two low set of seats that all in all provides a high powered and very passionate driving experience, and one would be able to picture that, indeed, BMW is yet on the road, again, to success.

What are the features of the BMW M roadster? Well, for power, it has a front engine and a rear wheel drive system. Its engine is a DOHC in line engine with 24 valves. It is an iron block with an aluminum head. It can displace 192 cubic inches or some 3152 cc. It also has the capacity to produce some 240 bhp at 6000 rpm. Aside form that, it also has a five speed manual transmission. The suspension is provided in two options. The first is the independent front suspension. It has damper struts, lower control arms, coil springs, and an anti-roll bar. As per the other one, it is an independent rear suspension with dampers, semi-trailing arms, coil springs, and anti-roll bars.

How large is the BMW M? It measures some 96.8 inches for its wheelbase. Its rear is 55.0 inches. It has a curb weight of 3084 pounds, plus a fuel capacity of 13.5 gallons. If you want to put in some cargo, you can always do so for it has a meager cargo capacity of 5.1 cubic feet.

The steering of this roadster is a rack and pinion one with variable ratio and is variable power assisted. It has a turning circle of 34.1 feet. The brakes are vented discs for both the front and the rear. There is also the anti lock braking system. As per the wheels and tires of this vehicle, the BMW M comes equipped with 17 x 7.5 inches front and 17 x 9.0 inches rear cast aluminum wheels. There also are 225/45ZR-17 tires for the front and 245/40ZR-17 tires for the rear. These are both Michelin Pilot SX MXX3 tires.

As BMW ventures into high and advanced technology as well as great performance in their sports cars and other upcoming vehicles, Auto Accessories Giant never stops delivering top of the line BMW replacement parts as part of its commitment to its loyal customers worldwide. Rallying behind BMW’s philosophy of producing only the best in the industry, Auto Accessories Giant with its wide array of impressive BMW accessories gives it customer’s genuine quality BMW products at guaranteed low prices.

I have to reveal up front that I own an older 3-series BMW, so I am quite aware of its abilities and drawbacks. And as many different types of cars that I drive, I am always happy to return to my baby. But when I got behind the wheel of the new 330i (Edmunds pricing at $39,184) I could tell that this machine was a sharp step up in performance within a quarter mile.

At my first ride in the driver’s seat, I couldn’t get over the ergonomics of the steering wheel. Every car has one, and I’ve handled a few unusual ones, but my grip has never felt more at home than with this 330i. (Unfortunately, it wasn’t a heated steering while like the 7-series, and it was quite cold outside.) Then BMW mates this steering wheel with very precise steering for a sedan-level car.

The German automobiles avoid the low-end torque that American makers’ design, instead they offer a slower launch, but smoother, linear acceleration. And the silky 6-cylinder engine is particularly noticeable with a manual transmission in this car. BMW finally added a 6th gear for the stick shift, and I say it is overdue. My old one has 50,000 miles and the gearing still makes me look for 6th when I run up through the gears – but sadly there are only 5 to be had. Since the 330i generates 255 horsepower, far more than I am used to for daily driving, I may have to upgrade my radar detector.

Yes, the car basics are spectacular – engine, ride, steering (even the steering wheel), but the electronics controls are a comical disappointment. Anyone that has driven this car has a story about turning on the turn signals from one side to the other and back again, during a vain attempt to turn them off. I know people in the area gave me a wider berth, thinking I was a confused and lost driver. The turning signal lever doesn’t ‘click’ into place as the rest of the world has come to commonly expect turn signals to function. With the 330i, you tap the signal, such as for passing, and it automatically flashes three times and then turns off. But you can hold the lever a little longer, and you get your normal-action from the turn signal. But on a soft turn, where the signal doesn’t turn off, you have to flick it the other way to turn it off. But in the hurry of the moment, if it is more than a flick, then you just indicated from your signals that you are turning in the opposite direction. And this goes back & forth every once in a while until you get accustomed to it.

Other electronic oddities are the Navigation/Radio controls. There are many models of cars where you can intuitively muddle your way to what you want to get done. I couldn’t generate that kind of luck while I was driving. My passenger had to repeatedly go through the owners’ manual that didn’t offer much guidance to get the map or radio station the way we wanted. And we didn’t even have the added i-drive option that so many customers complain about. I’m at a loss to explain the miss-timing of the automatic windshield wipers. I love that Jaguar has this feature down pat, but the 330i wipers were always going too fast or too slow; so kept having to manually adjust the automatic windshield wipers. An electronic improvement over the prior 3-series model is the traction control system. The old model would cut the power to the wheels in an obvious fashion, while this model is a seamless experience of artificially superior driving skill.

So while the driving experience is a quantum level improvement over the last generation change at BMW, their electronics package gives me some hesitation in buying one of these machines. In bumper to bumper traffic, the electronic gadgetry of the 330i becomes more annoying; and only on curvy roads without traffic or law enforcement can you experience the thrill of what this car can offer.

Nissan has been building its reputation with U.S. buyers for decades, but its 2011 models will really impress customers and draw a few new ones as well. Your Nissan Leaf NJ dealer can’t wait for these models to hit the showroom so they can share them with you.

With the 2011 all-electric Nissan Leaf, the automaker become the first to place such a car on the market and with low costs all-around, including the purchase price it will likely blow some of the competition right off the EV tree. New and used car dealer NJ customers have to check out this electric wonder. It offers the best of both worlds – sustainable, green power and the speed and distance
we all thought would never come with such power. Well, now it’s here and we need to fully appreciate the magnitude of this car.

The Leaf doesn’t even have a combustion engine; it runs with an 80 kw electric motor than allows speeds up to 90 mph depending on passenger load and the terrain. It can go as far as 100 miles with one charge – yes my green friends, it will make it around the block more than twice!

The longer driving range will likely be a huge factor in the sale of the Leaf to a broad spectrum of buyers, as previous hybrid/electric cars have not had anywhere near such range. Good news on the buying front too: the federal government will give a $7,500 tax credit for those who purchase a Nissan Leaf.

The Leaf will be in showrooms before the end of the year, although most have already been reserved, so check with your dealer. Prices start at $32,780 without the tax credit. Used car dealer NJ customers will appreciate the price.

Then there’s the 2011 Nissan Juke, which will get attention for its unusual name and its unique look. This four-door hatchback has a few curves similar to the Nissan Murano, but it’s all Juke. With a 180-horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and continuously variable transmission the driving will be fun and stress-free. Of course, if you want a bit more adventure you can opt for the six-speed manual transmission. Coming next spring the Juke will have a very affordable starting price of $17,700.

Nissan Leaf NJ dealers look forward to the arrival of both models, as they will likely bring in loyal customers and some curious buyers who just have to get a look at these one-of-a-kind vehicles or be the first on their block to own one. Even if you have to get on a waiting list for the Nissan Leaf, it will be worth the wait to have a powerful, affordable ride that’s green and comes with a tax credit!

The running cars have brought about a lot of adverse environmental effects, which led to the inception of electric vehicles technology. The recent inventions have ensured improved performance of battery life and fuel cells, thereby improving the restricted capability of electric cars.

Electric cars need to be recharged frequently and can be a difficult process between greater distances. On the other hand, electricity can be transportable and these cars can be charged anywhere for a lower cost. Also, the regular wall outlets are available everywhere which would overcome the problem of charging between longer distances.

Nissan Leaf is one of the first electric cars which would meet the real-world requirements of fuel and affordability. It is a ‘zero emission’ vehicle and the chassis is regulated by lithium ion batteries. The car can accommodate five passengers and can run continuously for about 160 kilometres (100 miles) before charging the electrical batteries again. Such cars would surely reduce the fuel consumptions and alleviate the greenhouse effect. The tail pipe is absent here and therefore it eliminates the possibility of emitting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

The car is equipped with a quick charger that ensures easy charging. It would take about 30 minutes to charge the batteries up to 80% with the quick charger. On the other hand, it would take about 8 hours to charge the car through a 200V outlet at home. Therefore, most people prefer charging the car at night while they are resting.

There is a marked difference between just giving the car a wash and complete auto detailing. Auto detailing refers to the complete cleaning process, which can make your vehicle look like new. This includes cleaning the inside upholstery, the dashboard, tires and of course the vehicle’s body. This can be a time-consuming task if you don’t have the right equipment. But taking the time to invest in some effective cleaning tools can make a world of difference to your car detailing.

Going Green

When it comes to auto detailing, many people opt for a range of different chemicals to clean different surfaces. The tougher the dirt deposits, the harsher the chemical used. For instance, the task of degreasing usually calls for tough chemical cleaning agents. But tackling the upholstery and carpet might call for milder cleaning products. When it comes to auto detailing, the truth is that you don’t have to rely on harsh chemicals at all. In fact, it makes much more sense to invest in ecologically friendly products that won’t harm the environment, your health, or your vehicle when you use them.

A common misconception is that these green chemicals can’t clean as effectively as other chemicals. This simply isn’t true – an investment in the right green cleaning products will afford users the ability to penetrate dirt molecules and break them down from the inside. Even stubborn grease stains can be easily lifted with these kinds of products. These ecologically-friendly chemicals are also plant-based, which means they leave no harmful chemical traces behind.

The Pressure of Auto Detailing

It’s always a sound idea to invest in specialized cleaning machinery for your auto detailing. But many people make the mistake of using conventional pressure washers or dry steam cleaners for these jobs. In the case of pressure washers, the pressure level is often too high and can damage the body of the vehicle. In the case of dry steam cleaners, the machines simply don’t have enough pressure. Apart from that, these cleaning units also require constant wiping when you use them, which may lead to scratching the paint.

The ideal cleaning machine for auto detailing should offer a pressure level of 1000-1500 psi and a flow rate of only .5 GPM. This low flow rate will ensure the body of the vehicle isn’t harmed during cleaning. Apart from that, the steam car wash machine should also have a steam temperature of up to 330ºF. This makes it an ideal tool for easily dissolving and removing tough stains.

Ideally, you should be able to use this auto detailing equipment on a number of different surfaces. This means they should be able to tackle the tough and rugged surfaces of tires as well as the more delicate surfaces like the windows. Apart from that, the cleaning unit should be able to remove a wide range of different stains. A car is subject to a variety of different dirt deposits, ranging from the sticky and stubborn tree sap to the equally difficult tar. Your auto detailing machine should also be able to easily remove brake dust, grease, oil deposits, salt sedimentation and dead insects.

This kind of cleaning machine and the right green chemicals can make your auto detailing job quicker and easier.

The world has come to know four generations of the Chevrolet Camaro and each of these generations were distinct and unique from the rest. At first, this vehicle was actually made known to the public in the United States and the rest of North America in the early part of 1967. It was presented by the General Motor’ Chevrolet Motor Division. It was destined to be a competition for the Ford Mustang. It also used the very same F Body Platform which was from General Motors, along with other major components that the Pontiac Firebird also used. That is why many people who have come to know and to remember the Chevrolet Camaro says and remembers this vehicle as the Pontiac Firebird’s sister, or sibling at that.

During that period, the Chevrolet Camaro was known to be a compact car. And soon enough, it was known to be a pony car. This meant that it was a competitor of the Ford Mustang. Aside from that reputation, the Chevrolet Camaro was also classified as an intermediate touring car, a sports car, as well as a muscle car. However, this car make ended its career in 2002.

The first generation of this vehicle lived from 1967 up until 1970. It held a unibody structure from the windshield up to the firewall back. There was a separate steel rail subframe for everything found at the front. It was lean and aggressive, although the steering was kind of slow and manual. In the middle of 1970, the second generation of the Chevrolet Camaro made its way to the streets. This second group held a styling that was inspired by Ferrari. It came to be bigger, and much heavier. However, because of this, it made the Chevrolet Camaro become less powerful. This second generation ended in 1981. Come the year 1982 up until 1992, it was actually the time for the third generation of Chevrolet Camaros to shine. These were the first vehicles to be built without front subframes or leaf spring rear suspensions. They also were the very first generation of Chevrolet Camaros to boast of factory fuel injection, four speed automatic transmission, five speed manual transmissions, four cylinder engines, 16 inch wheels, and hatchback bodies. As per the last generation of this vehicle, it lasted from 1993 up until 2002. It held new plastic front fenders, a new short arm and long arm front suspension, a rack and pinion steering, as well as a sleek new look that made it quite popular to more people.
