Geneva preview: ethanol-powered Saab 9-3x on the way?

Saab releases biofuel-capable vehicles under the BioPower label. The latest model to get the ethanol treatment is rumored to be the 9-3X wagon, which Saab will unveil at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Even though development of the 9-X BioHybrid Comcept was put on hold last fall , flex-fuel vehicles are not dead yet and we found news that the 9-3X wagon will be available with either a turbo 1.9-liter diesel good for 180 hp or a turbo 2.0-liter E85-capable engine that can put out up to 210 hp. So says Motor Trend , anyway. As a GM brand, it makes sense for Saab to add the ethanol feature, but the press release (which describes the U.S. version and is pasted after the jump) mentions no such thing.
